Advantages and disadvantages of short term

Before starting list of advantages and disadvantages I would like to explain what is accommodation in the hotel and can not be made equal between renting a room in a hotel and this regime.
Accommodation in Bucharest is hosting for a certain period of time persons. Basically, the apartment-hotel is a combination of hotel room and comfort of personal home, borrowing from the advantages of each choice of accommodation.

Apartments for rent in Bucharest are several categories and standards, ranging from studios, 2 rooms 3 rooms 4 rooms.

Who that is engaged in such work?

The list can be quite varied, from foreign or Romanian citizens who came here for business, changing jobs in another city for a certain period of time, mini-vacations for families and couples, winter holidays, or just and simply visiting a particular city.

What would be the main advantage of accommodation in Bucharest?

More spacious and comfortable, fully equipped, are located in central areas, offers a quality / price very attractive. The price of apartments short term rental in Bucharest are 40% lower than the same equivalent of star hotels.
But sometimes the price is not enough to convince us to call this type of accommodation and then I thought it would be better to lay the main advantages.

Avantajele si dezavantajele regimului hotelier

Inainte de a incepe lista avantajelor si dezavantajelor as vrea sa explic ce anume inseamna cazarea in regim hotelier si de ce nu poate fi pus egal intre inchirierea unei camere la un hotel si acest regim.

Cazare in regim hotelier reprezinta gazduirea pentru o anumita perioada de timp a unor persoane.Practic, apartamentul in regimhotelier este o combinatie intre camera la hotel si confortul caminului personal, imprumutand din avantajele fiecarei variante de cazare.

Apartamentele Regim Hotelier in Bucuresti sunt de mai multe categorii si standarde , incepand de la garsoniere , 2 camere , 3 camere si 4 camere .

Cine anume apeleaza la astfel de servici?

Lista poate fi destul de variata, incepand cu cetatenii straini sau romani care au venit aici pentru afaceri, schimbarea locului de munca intr-un alt oras pentru o anumita perioada de timp, mini-vacante pentru familii si cupluri, sarbatori de iarna, sau pur si simplu vizitarea unui anumit oras.

Care ar fi principalul avantaj a cazarii in regim hotelier?

Mult mai spatioase si confortabile, complet echipate, sunt situate in zonele centrale, va ofera un raport calitate/pret foarte atractiv. Preturile apartamentelor in regim hotelier din Bucuresti sunt cu 40% mai mici decat hotelurile cu acelasi echivalent de stele.

Dar pretul uneori nu este indeajuns pentru a ne convinge sa apelam la acest tip de cazare si atunci m-am gandit ca ar fi bine sa insir principalele avantaje.

Avantaje

1. Primul avantaj l-am mai spus mai sus si este vorba de pretul cu mult mai scazut decat in cazul hotelelor sau a pensiunilor.

2.  In general apartamentele in regim hotelier in Bucuresti sau in alte orase sunt amplasate in centru sau aproape de centru unde absolut totul iti este pus la dispozitie: cafenele, cluburi, mall-uri, restaurante etc. toate la cateva minute de tine .

3. Majoritatea firmelor care practica acest gen de cazare ofera diferite reduceri sau  oferte speciale pentru regim hotelier. De exemplu, pentru trei nopţi de cazare plătite, turiştii pot primi una în plus gratis sau ca tariful scade atunci cand apartamentul este contractat pe termen de mai multe zile.

4. Unele agentii cum este si Eastcomfort pune la dispozitia clientilor sai posibilitatea de a apela la serviciile de rent a car Bucuresti sau ofera 50% reducere la  transferul de intoarcere.

5.Un alt mare avantaj e intimitatea, confortul si luxul de care veti avea parte, lasand impresia ca nu stai intr-o locuinta straina si te face sa te simti ca si cum ai fi acasa .

6. Orele de check in si check out raman la fel de flexibile ca si la hotelurile cu receptie nonstop, si ai avantajul unei independente totale: ai cheia apartamentului la dispozitie.

7. De regula cazarea nu se face pe numarul de persoane cum este in cazul hotelelor si a pensiunilor, tariful fiind unic.

8. Chiriasul  se poate bucura astfel de o serie de dotari moderne, precum: dvd-playere, sistem home cinema, aer conditionat, telefon si internet wireless gratuit sau chiar computer performant cu acces la internet etc. Baile sunt  spatioase si pot avea ori cada ori cabina de dus.

9. Bucatarii utilate complet incepand de la tacamuri, vesela, aragaz, filtru de cafea, frigider, cuptor cu microunde care vor fi dispozitia ta la orice ora.

10. Punem un accent deosebit pe curatenia si igiena acestor locatii, de aceea intotdeauna veti avea la dispozitie un extra set de lenjerie de pat si prosoape. Si curatenia periodica in functie de perioada de sedere selectata.

11. Poti cere de la firma care ti-a inchiriat Apartamentul Regim Hotelier mai multe lucruri si servicii in plus , de exemplu dotari suplimentare in bucatarie , sufragerie, chiar si in dormitor .

Avantajul inchirierii unui apartament in regim hotelier consta in intimitatea si individualitatea oferita de acesta.

Iar cum nu totul poate fi perfect as vrea sa enumar si cateva dezavantaje:

Dezavantaje

1.Lipsa receptiei. Cine doreste o cazare in miez de noapte, trebuie sa sune si sa astepte pana apare proprietarulgarsonierei/apartamentului sa-i inmaneze cheia (check-in). La fel se intampla si la plecare (check-out).

2.Cazarea in regim hotelier nu are niciodata inclus micul-dejun. De ce? Foarte simplu: nu are restaurant sau sala de mese, fiind  vorba de un bloc de locuinte, nu hotel sau pensiune.

3.Parcarea nu este  pazita. Locul de parcare este cel indicat la check-in, de obicei langa bloc.

4.Room-service-ul poate fi asigurat doar de firme de catering (pizza, mancare traditionala, mancare chinezeasca, mancare italiana, etc).

Iar ca si incheiere pot spune doar atat: Esti practic la tine acasa in regim hotelier!

Vacanta la tara

Comuna Moeciu este situata in centrul tarii, la extremitatea sudica a judetului Brasov, intre masivele Piatra Craiului si Bucegi, in culoarul Rucar-Bran. Atractii :

Situat la doar 10km de vestitul Castel Bran, Moeciu de Sus isi imbie turistii cu peisaje submontane,

Peisajul incantator imbie la drumetii, aerul curat si tare este la el acasa, linistea coboara parca din padurile adanci de brad, de pe dealurile pline de tarcuri si “hodai” (casute de vara din perioada pasunatului), iar peste toate troneaza rasuflarea taioasa a Bucegilor.

Pentru cei ce iubesc miscarea in aer liber se pot organiza plimbari si drumetii pe dealurile ce inconjoara Moeciul de Sus, sau chiar pe trasee din platoul Bucegi, la Cabana Padina si Pestera, Cabana de vanatoare Gutanu, deplasare cu cai de calarie sau de agrement.
Iarna exista derdelus si partie de schi sau se pot organiza plimbari cu sania trasa de cai. De asemenea se pot organiza excursii la Poiana Brasov, unde exista partii de schi amenajate la standarde superioare.
De asemenea se pot organiza partide de pescuit de pastrav (15 mai – 15 septembrie), peste rapitor sau de vanatoare ( de mistreti, ursi) in sezon.

Ideea acestui articol mi-a venit dupa ce am auzit despre hotelul in forma de paleta de Ping Pong din China. Daca la altii se poate, la noi de ce nu s-ar putea?
Si am inceput sa caut pe internet hoteluri “ciudate” sau mai bine zis iesite din comun.

Hotel Dracula

Si primul care mi-a venit in minte a fost binecunoscutul Hotel Dracula.

Doar nu degeaba Romania e cunoscuta in lume pentru acest nume, Dracula. Spune-le strainilor ca esti roman, iar urmatoarea intrebare va fi : Dracula?
Situat in judeţul Bistriţa-Năsăud, localitatea Piatra Fântânele, se ajunge foarte usor pe drumul european E58, DN17 (care face legătura între Transilvania şi Moldova). Poti apela la servicile de rent a car din  Cluj sau la cele de inchirieri microbuze din   Bucuresti cu sau fara sofer, daca doresti sa organizezi un week-end cu prietenii.
Ajunsi la destinatie, dupa ce am inchiriat o camera la hotel, am facut turul hotelului care e amenajat intr-un aer care te duce cu gandul la cavaleri si domnite.
“Hotelul a fost construit în anul 1983 (sub alura comunistă) după modelul medieval al castelelor. Hotelul atrage turisti din intreaga lume atat pentru arhitectura deosebita, de casa medievala cat si pentru frumusetea locurilor, acest colt pitoresc de natura autentic romanesca”, ne-a spus ghidul in timp ce vizitam muzeul hotelului.
Vei avea parte si de o surpriza, pe care nu o voi divulga, pentru ca, doar fiind in acel loc, poti simti cu adevarat ca Dracula e “stapanul” hotelului.

Primavara, vara si toamna se pot face drumetii:

Magura Calului, din soseaua nationala Bistrita-Vatra Dornei, de unde se deschide o panorama de larga cuprindere asupra Muntilor Rodnei, Suhard, Calimani, spre si peste Giumalau (durata 4-5 ore);

Stanca de la Piatra Fantanele, cu o frumoasa panorama a muntilor. Accesul nu prezinta dificultate (durata 2 ore);
Dealul Zimbrului – belvedere (durata 3-4 ore).
Iarna, sunt la dispozitia turistilor partii si intinse terenuri de schi, babyschi, partii pentru saniute, organizandu-se si plimbari cu sanii trase de cai .

Ice Hotel Cold Think

Dar pentru cei care sunt pasionati de sporturile de iarna si adora zapada si gheata m-am gandit la singurul Hotel de Gheaţă din Europa de Est, edificat în inima Masivului Făgăraş, la pensiunea Cabana Balea Lac.

Singura problema care apare e forma hotelului care se schimba de la an la an, si nu poate primi oaspetii decat iarna. Anul acesta tema constructiei a fost ” Ice Hotel Cold Think “.

Suprafaţa totală de construcţie a hotelului este de aproximativ 650 de metri pătraţi. Hotelul dispune de zece camere duble, un Ice Bar, un Ice Restaurant şi o esplanadă cu expoziţie de statui din gheaţă.
O noapte de cazare in camerele inghetate de la Balea Lac costa 99 de lei, iar pentru o camera dubla pretul ajunge la 300 de lei,

la care se mai adauga si meniul, care costa inca 250 de lei.
Fiecare cameră poartă numele unui filozof cunoscut, român sau străin, iar în fiecare dintre acestea va fi expusă o scurtă prezentare a filozofului al cărui nume îl poartă camera. Pentru Ice Restaurant a fost pregătit un meniu nou compus din patru feluri de mâncare, gustarea şi desertul vor fi servite pe farfurii din gheaţă, iar cei care doresc să servească masa în Ice Restaurant vor beneficia de un welcome cocktail.
Din componenţa Complexului “Ice Hotel 2010″, nu va lipsi Biserica de Gheaţă, in sezoanele trecute, biserica a găzduit mai multe evenimente religioase, aici fiind şi o cununie religioasă.

Zona Balea Lac este cautata mai ales pentru drumetiile care incanta orice impatimit al muntelui prin peisajul existent cat si prin posibilitatea alegerii unor trasee care sunt o adevarata provocare. Mediul ambiental incantator face posibila practicarea unor activitati de agrement extrem de diverse. Pe timp de iarna practicarea sporturilor pe schiuri (coborare, slalom, fond etc.) se realizeaza pe numeroasele partii naturale care inconjoara cabana.
Pe suprafata inghetata a lacului ( peste 4 ha. ) se amenajeaza zone de luciu inghetat pentru hokey, curling si patinaj.

Campingul Nomad din Campul Cetatii

Iar in topul pensiunilor ciudate am adaugat campingul Nomad din Campul Cetatii, , judetul Mures.

Cazarea se face in iurte traditionale din Mongolia, iar incalzirea se face cu sobe de lemne. Iurtele sunt concepute pe baza experimentelor existente in felul ca odihna sa fie sanatoasa si odihnitoare. Petreceti cateva zile in acest camping, iar intoarcerea dvs. la civilizatie va fi cu un psihic recreat si cu energii pozitive.

Campingul dispune de restaurant cu mancaruri traditionale, specialitati din bucataria internatonala, mancaruri gatite in cuptor culemne si specialitati pizza. In centrul spa se poate relaxa in wellness Jacuzzi hot tub, sauna si in pat masaj cu pietre jade.
Optional se pot face plimbari cu caruta trasa de cai sau cu sania, sau excursii la partia de schi in Sovata sau la salina din Praid.

De aici turistii pot face excursii la Marea Neagra, Bucovina ,Maramures, pe muntii din lantul carpatic ,Tara Hategului.

Orasul Brasov este unul dintre cele mai frumoase orase din Romania,vi-l recomand,foarte multi dintre voi ati auzit cu siguranta de el,de povestile lui Dracula,Vlad Tepes,Castelul Bran,Transilvania.

Mijloace de transport

Se ajunge foarte simplu aici, daca calatoriti cu avionul de la Bucuresti aveti la dispozitie urmatoarele optiuni: cu trenul, Buss, Maxi-Taxi sau folositi serviciul de rent a car din aeroportul Bucuresti, durata calatoriei fiind de aproximativ 3 ore, deasemenea exista optiunea de cazare in Bucuresti pentru o noapte inainte de a porni la drum.

Cazare

Odata ajunsi in minunatul oras Brasov, turistii se pot caza foarte usor, orasul dispune de suficiente unitati de cazare: hoteluri (12),pensiuni (38),hostel (2),vile (6),case de vacanta(7),moteluri(1), complexe turistice(1).

Daca doriti sa va cazati langa centrul istoric al Brasovului recomand turistiilor cateva unitati de cazare dragute:

Hotel Ambient de 4 stele din Brasov,

situat pe bulevardul Iuliu Maniu 27 ,situat  la cateva minute de monumentele istorice si de centrul orasului, acest hotel dispune de : receptie 24/24, bar,camera de bagaje,lift,camera de nefumatori,restaurant, terasa,seif, camere pentru familii, camere facilitati pentru persoane cu handicap, aer conditionat .Recomand acest hotel turistiilor din propria mea experienta pe care am avut-o ,cu niste prieteni veniti din Germania pentru a vizita orasul, i-am ajutat sa se cazeze la acest  hotel si au ramas placuti impresionati de serviciile acestui hotel.

Recomand Casa Wagner de 3 stele, situata in inima orasului Brasov, chiar in Piata Sfatului cu o vedere superba la minunata Biserica Neagra si muntele Tampa, dispune de:

receptie 24/24, bar, camere pentru familii,camere nefumatori,zona pentru nefumatori, incalzire.

Recomand turistiilor aceste  unitati de cazare din orasul Brasov.

Restaurante

Daca vi se face foame,si doriti sa savurati mancaruri traditionale romanesti, orasul Brasov dispune de restaurante renumite, in centrul orasului se intalnesc cu aproximatie 10 restaurante ,de exemplu Restaurantul Crama Cerbul Carpatin situat in centrul Brasovului, Piata Sfatului nr.12, aici se pot servii preparate culinare traditionale romanesti care pot fii stropite cu vinuri,foarte bune din podgorii alese. Restaurantul Bella Muzica situat in centru, Piata Sfatului nr. 19 ,restaurant cu specific mexican si unguresc.

Restaurant Mado, situat pe str. Republicii nr.10.

Obiective turistice

Dupa o masa, este bine venita o plimbare in inima orasului, pot fi vizitate atractiile turistice : Biserica Neagra, Bastionul Tesatorilor, Cetatea Brasov, Turnul Alb,Turnul Negru,Casa Hirscher, Biserica Sf. Nicolae, Prima Scoala Romaneasca,Muzeul de Arta, Poarta Schei, Poarta Ecaterinei, Muzeul de Istorie.

Daca doriti sa faceti o plimbare cu masina si nu dispuneti de ea, puteti inchiria foarte simplu de la o agentie de inchiriere, recomand EuroCars Rent a Car Brasov, agentia ofera livrarea autoturismului gratis pe toata raza judetului Brasov .

Daca nu dispuneti de permis de conducere, sau daca nu doriti sa conduceti dumneavoastra autoturismul inchiriat, masina poate fii inchiriata cu sofer.

Cu masina va puteti deplasa pana in statiunile montane, turistice Poaiana Brasov, Predeal, Cheia, Rasnov,  Sinaia,  Bran, Cheile Gradistei, Moieciu, situate la o distanta cuprinsa 30-50 km fata de Brasov. Pe timp de iarna in statiunile montane se pot practica sporturile de iarna, statiuniile sunt dotate cu partii si instalatii pe cablu de inalta calitate. Drumurile sunt in stare buna,au fost renovate si asfaltate recent.

Circulatia pe timp de noapte este tentanta deoarece noaptea traficul este mai lejer, nu este aglomerat, iar daca se circula pe timpul verii temperaturile sunt mult mai placute noaptea si consumul de combustibil este mai redus. Trebuie respectate semnele de circulatie care va indruma, nu trebuie evitate. Daca circulati iarna ,nu uitati sa aveti masina echipata corespunzator deoarece in aceasta zona montana iernile sunt grele, cu ninsori abundente,viscor si ger.

Cu toate cele spuse mai sus, eu va recomand sa vizitati orasul Brasov, un oras minunat ,veti ramane cu o amintire de neuitat. Poate fi vizitat in orice anotimp, deoarece in Brasov fiecare anotimp isi are farmecul lui.

Excursie pe Cheile Dambovicioarei

Te-ai intrebat vreodata atunci cand vezi o furnica pe langa tine, ce simte ea cand te vede? Crezi oare ca se inspaimanta de statura ta?

Daca vrei sa vezi cat de mic esti in comparatie cu lumea in care traiesti n-am decat sa iti recomand Cheile Dambovicioarei situata pe Culoarul Rucar Bran, facand parte din rezervatia naturala Piatra Craiului. Este un loc minunat pentru iubitorii de natura, aici se reunesc foarte multe din pasiunile omului: drumetii, speologie, birdwatching sau daca pur si simplu vrei sa te relaxezi aici este locul potrivit de a scapa de viata cotidiana, de zgomotul oraselor, de haosul modern,relaxandu-te intr-o camera inchiriata intr-una din pensiunile Branului.

Imi aduc aminte cand am fost prima oara prin aceste locuri, am ramas uimit de frumusetea locului, de statura impozanta a stancilor si am ramas mut de uimire cum un rau de 1-2 metri latime a putut sa modeleze calcarul intr-un peisaj unic in lume. Aveam vreo 16 ani cand am plecat in excursie cu clasa din liceu, in momentul in care am ajuns pe chei toti eram lipiti de geam si din toata galagia ce era in autocar s-a auzit dintr-o data o singura afirmatie “Oahh”.

A fost dragoste la prima vedere pentru toti, de la intrarea pe Chei aveai impresia ca ai intrat in intr-o pestera ce nu se mai termina, peretii sunt foarte apropiati, sa zic cam 10-15 metri si au o pozitie pe diagonala. Soferul autocarului inchiriat mergea incet, fie vroia sa ne lase sa admiram peisajul, fie era mai speriat ca si noi ca nu cumva sa pice o stanca de sus, dar dupa vreo 3 kilometri am ajuns la destinatie, si anume la Pestera Dambovicioara.

Luam un ghid, ne impartim in 2 grupe si intram, cred ca avea vreo 14 ani si de abia iesise de la scoala generala, dar vorbea atat de deschis despre pestera ca ne-a captivat atentia la toti, mai ales cand a inceput sa ne povesteasca istoria pesterei, ca in trecut a fost locuita de haiduci, dupa aceea de un calugar. A urmat atractia principala a pesterii si anume formatiunile geologice care dupa spusele ghidului seamana cu o laba de urs, aripa de acvila, piele de tigru, etc. Dar sincer m-am simtit ca la psiholog, ca la testul Rorschach, cand iti pune in fata o foaie murdarita cu cerneala, fiecare vedea ce vroia, imaginatia e la ea acasa.

Si am plecat de la pestera, obositi de la atata drum, ajungand la pensiunea unde urma sa ne cazam. Gazdele ne-au intampinat tipic romanesc, nu cu covorul rosu ci cu paine si sare. Ca sa mearga si mai bine domnul de la pensiune ne-a dat la fiecare cate un paharel de tuica de pruna, putina ca inca eram minor J.

A venit si timpul sa mancam, ce se putea altceva decat sarmalute si o friptura de porc si ca sa intre bine sa nu inecam  un vin rosu de casa, ca desert un cozonac ataaat de bun, cred ca de aici si numele pensiunii “Mama Cozonacilor”.

A doua zi a fost una trista pentru a trebuit sa plecam, am mai stat prin curte, avand un teren de fotbal, pastraverie, fazani dar cum spune si zica “omu mai vine, dar mai si pleaca” am hotarat ca e timpul sa ne indreptam spre casa.

Este o excursie care merita fiecare clipa, ai vrea sa nu se mai termine, sa ramai pe meleagurile acestea pitoresti o viata, plini de oameni buni si caldurosi.

Fie ca esti turist roman si mergi cu masina personala, fie ca esti turist strain si alegi sa inchiriezi o masina, Cheile Dambovicioarei este o destinatie pe care nu ai vrea sa o ratezi. Ca si cai de acces e ok daca alegi sa mergi Bucuresti – Targoviste dar de aici inainte lucrurile nu stau prea roz, asa ca pregateste-te de gropi, praf, mers incet, pentru cei din Bucuresti e doar o zi normala J. Ca si un itinerariu ce il recomand daca ar fi dupa mine ar fi Bucuresti – Targoviste – Cheile Damboviciorei – Rucar – Bran – Brasov – Busteni – Sinaia – Bucuresti, si astfel ai acoperit o zona turistica frumoasa de la noi din tara, si apoi raman multe altele de descoperit.

Iar o harta a haiducilor te va duce direct la destinatie.

Si nu uita Romania “Land Of Choice” !

Dambovicioara Keys Trip

Have you ever wonder when a ant it’s right next to you, what she fells like? Do you think that she is afraid by your stature?

If you want to know how small you are in comparison to the world you live in, you certantly must check you Damvovicioara’s Keys on Rucar – Bran lane, it’s included on the natural reservation Piatra Craiului. It’s a woderfull place for nature lovers, here reunites many of man passions like hiking, cave exploration, birdwatching or if you want to relax this is the perfect place to excape the daily routine, the noises of the big town’s, the modern chaos, yourself relaxing in a rented room in one of the Bran Pensions.

I remember when I was for the first time in this part of the country, amazed by the beauty, by the imposing stature of the cliffs, astonished how a river of only 1-2 m wide can create a natural wonder unique in the world. I was only 16 years old wen I went on a roadtrip with my highschool class, and when we arrived everybody was sticked to the window of the bus and from all the noise and screams there was only one exclamation in a choir that sounded like “Oahh”.

It was love at first site for everybody, the entrance of the keys looked like a entrance of a big cave that has no end, the walls are closed to each other between 30 – 50 feet and has a diagonal position.

We  rent a bus from EuroCars and the bus driver was going slowly, leaving us to admire the view or he has more scared than us that a rock from above would drop on the bus, but after almost 3 km we’ve reached your destination, Dambovicioara’s Cave. We take a guide, split in 2 groups and we enter, I think he was almost 14 years old and he just ended elementary school, but he talked so openlly about the cave so he captured our attention, especially when he started talking about the history of it, that in the past it was lived by outlaws, afterward by a monk. It followed the main atraction, the geological fornations of the cave, that acording to the guide looked like a bears paw, a wing of an eagle, a tigre’s fur. But onestlly I felt like a was at a psychiatrist, the Rorschach test, wen he puts in the front of you a piece of paper smuged with ink, and he asks you what do you see, everybody saw what they want, imagination has no limits.

And we left the cave, tired from all that traveling, we arived at de hostel were we met our accommodations. The host encountered us typical romanian, not with the red carpet but with bread and salt. And to go all well, the host gave us each a glass of plum brandy, a little because we were minors.

The time to eat has arived, what can be more good than cabbage filled with meat, a steak of pork, and to go even better and not to choke, a home made wine, for desert a so so so good sponge cake, I think so the name of the pension “Mama Cozonacilor”

The second day, was a sad day because we left, we sat around a little longer in the court yard, they had a football field (european football J), trouts, pheasants, but how the word goes “A traveler comes, a traveler goes”, it was time to go home.

It’s a road trip that worths every moment, you wish that this dream will never end, and stay here on these picturesque lands a life time, filled by good and worm people.

Even if you are a local tourist with your personal car, or if you’re a foreign one and you chose to rent a car, Damboviciora’s Keys it’s a destination that you don’t want to miss. What can I say about the acces roads, it’s ok to go from Bucharest to Targoviste, but after this the road isn’t very good, so prepare for holes, dust, slowly driving, but for a local from Bucharest it’s just an ordinary day J. For an itinerary I recommend Bucuresti – Targoviste – Cheile Damboviciorei – Rucar – Bran – Brasov – Busteni – Sinaia – Bucuresti, so you covered a beautifull touristic area in our country, but are many more for you to discover.

As you all well know it by now, February is the month of Love, celebrated all around the world on the 14th of February “Valentine’s day”. I really do not know how many of you know the real meaning of this day, besides the fact that in this day, all couples should celebrate their love in their own very special way.

To all of us that wish to know more, here is a short description quoted from Wikipedia’s website:

Saint Valentine’s Day, commonly shortened to Valentine’s Day was named after one or more early Christian martyrs named Valentine and was established by Pope Gelasius in 500 AD. The Valentines honored on February 14 are Valentine of Rome and Valentine of Terni.

So, now that we went back in time, and discovered that these two Valentines were priests from Italy, we can be proud to have enriched our knowledge about our ancestor’s history. In conclusion, 14th of February is traditionally a day on which lovers express their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as “valentines”).

In modern days, Valentine’s Day symbols include the heart-shaped outline, doves, and the figure of the winged Cupid. We are all used to see all the shops “dressed” in red, heart shapes all over, from cookies to greeting cards and of course flower shops full of clients who would like to order special bouquets for their loved ones.

This is an article especially dedicated to our male clients…we, all women, know that sometimes or most of the times, our men forget to be romantic, and think that this day is just another day to spend money without purpose. Me, for example, I’m already used to see other friends enjoy this celebration, but not participating at it.
