Salutare prieteni!
Tema acestei luni este Valentine Day…sau ziua Sf Valentin sau ziua indragostilor, a iubirii.
O alta sarbatoare imprumutata,care a inceput sa se serbeze si la noi, dupa obiceiurile americanilor, desi Romania avea o astfel de sarbatoare, ziua de Dragobete, 24Februarie. Sau noi suntem mai cu mot si serbam de 2 ori, sac!
Este o sarbatoare menita sa aduca un moment magic cuplurilor, sa-i aduca impreuna, sa-si petreaca timpul unul cu celalalt si sa nu uite sa se iubeasca!
Am fi tentati sa spunem ca nu avem nevoie de astfel de artificii, ca putem sarbatori in fiecare zi iubirea si ca in fiecare zi e zi de sarbatoare…dar…mai uitam, si atunci, aceste zile te incarca si de energie pozitiva si te face sa mai pui totul pe “hold” si sa-i zambesti cu dragoste iubitei/iubitului.
Am mai spus-o, suntem in vremuri agitate, totul se intampla pe fast forward, totul e superficial si parca mai avem nevoie si de o imbratisare calda si de o magaiere dulce…te fac sa treci mai usor prin zi/viata, iar iubirea si prietenia ne ofera un adapost sigur si e o calauza pe termen lung, e hrana pentru creier si pentru suflet. Mai tineti minte refrenul lui Gheorghe Gheorghiu? “Dar unde dragoste nu e, nimic nu e..”?
Daca ai iubire, esti un om fericit! Trust me!
Va doresc un Valentine’s Day plin de iubire si inimile sa va straluceasca de farmecul indragostirii si reindragostirii. Sa va faceti timp si pentru iubire! In fiecare zi!

1Martie, Ziua Mărţişorului este sărbătorită atat de români şi de alte popoare din Balcani, semnificand biruinţa primăverii asupra iernii, fiind un fel de amuleta care să poarte noroc.
Martisorul era vaziut ca un talisman protector. Se credea ca te apara de fortele malefice, prevenea imbolnavirea in lunile care urmeaza lui martie, tinea deoparte deochiul.
Una din traditii era sa prinzi snurul la incheietura mainii si ai grija sa il inchei intr-un nod. Acesta avand functie protectoare si, in perioada in care purtai acest snur, avea puterea de a tine raul si ghinionul la distanta.
In perioada de inceput a lunii Martie, 1-9 martie,se aleg Babele pentru a vedea cum iti vor fi zilele in anul respectiv sau cum iti este sufletul, dupa alte datini.
De zielel Babelor, Baba Dochia obisnuieste sa toarca si sa isi scuture cele noua cojoace, unul cate unul, in fiecare din cele noua zile. In zonele din Ardeal, femeile nu trebuie sa lucreze cu fusul cat timp dureaza “Babele” pentru a nu atrage asupra lor mania si blestemele Babei Dochia.
In unele zone din Bucovina sau Moldova, se mai pastreaza si in ziua de azi ,un obicei frumos:
fetele trebuie sa poarte la gat, agatate de un snur in rosu si alb, monede de aur sau de argint, care trebuia purtata timp de 12 zile dupa care era folosita pentru a cumpara o felie de branza alba, dulce si frumoasa. Asadar, fata care a purtat acea moneda avea sa fie dulce si frumoasa tot timpul anului, iar tenul ramanea luminos si neted.
De 1 martie, mărţişorul se dăruia înainte de răsăritul soarelui, copiilor şi tinerilor – fete şi băieţi deopotrivă.
Şnurul de mărţişor, alcătuit din două fire de lână răsucite, colorate în alb şi roşu, reprezintă unitatea contrariilor: vara-iarnă, căldură-frig, fertilitate-sterilitate, lumina-întuneric.
În Banat, datina spune că, fetele nemăritate care se spălă cu apa adunată de pe frunzele fragilor din pădure, se vor mărita în anul respectiv, iar în zona Bihorului există obiceiul ca fetele să se spele cu apă de ploaie pentru a fi sănătoase și frumoase.
În Dobrogea, mărțișorul trebuie să fie purtat până la venirea berzelor ca mai apoi să fie aruncat spre înaltul cerului.
În satele din Transilvani, mărțișorul este agățat de poartă sau la ferestre pentru a îndepărta relele și blestemele.
Astazi, valoarea mărţişorului este dată doar de creaţia artistică, şnur alb-roşu se confecţionează din orice şi poate să aiba diverse semnificaţii.
Sa fiti iubiti! Un 1 Martie vesel si frumos si o primavara calda si plina de bucurii!

Pentru ca in acest weekend, va fi celebra adoptata sarbatoare a indragostelii, si anume,”Valentine’s,” propunem acelora dintre voi, ce doriti ceva deosebit, sau sa faceti o impresie buna..poate sunteti chiar la inceput si sa fie cu dreptul, zicem! un top5 cu cele mai romantice localuri din Bucuresti.
1. Caredy Kitchen – Caredy Kitchen, restaurantul fancy cu decor pin up girl din Piata Universitatii
Deschis de foarte putin timp la Universitate (Bulevardul Regina Elisabeta nr. 9), Caredy Kitchen te cucereste cu ajutorul unui decor foarte chic si girlie, lucru care ne duce cu gandul rapid la o cina romantica intre doi indragostiti. Meniul este variat, preturile decente iar servirea de nota 10. Daca iti doresti intimitate, poti rezerva o masa la separeu.
2. Local Colonial – The new hot spot in town sau locul din Centrul Vechi unde trebuie sa ajungi
Design-ul este semnat de Cristian Corvin si este, cum altfel, mirific. Mancarea este foarte buna iar o cina romantica aici va fi ca un vis frumos.
3. Le Bistrot Francais – Haute cuisine de Romania
Un loc putin mai pretentios, unde preturile sunt putin mai maricele, este Le Bistrot Francais. O sa vi-l recomandam pentru ca ingredientele folosite de ei sunt proaspete si de cea mai buna calitate iar pana la urma dragoste nu tine cont de buzunare…sau ..?!
4. Chocolat Boutique Ateneu – Noul Chocolat Boutique Ateneu
La Chocolat poti manca si feluri principale si desert iar noi vi-l recomandam evident pentru desert. Ce poate fi mai frumos ca dupa o masa copioasa sa impartiti impreuna un desert?

5. . Zexe – Singura zahana din Bucuresti
Unde ai putea lua o cina minunata daca nu intr-o casa veche, dischisa care te face sa te simti minunat imediat ce ai pasit in ea. Asadar, la intersectia strazii Icoanei cu Leonida si strada Domnita Ruxandra vei gasi restaurantul Zexe, o minunatie de restaurant.
Mai ramane sa alegeti cadoul potrivit…si gata seara speciala! Sa va iubiti mult! ;))

As you all well know it by now, February is the month of Love, celebrated all around the world on the 14th of February “Valentine’s day”. I really do not know how many of you know the real meaning of this day, besides the fact that in this day, all couples should celebrate their love in their own very special way.
To all of us that wish to know more, here is a short description quoted from Wikipedia’s website:
Saint Valentine’s Day, commonly shortened to Valentine’s Day was named after one or more early Christian martyrs named Valentine and was established by Pope Gelasius in 500 AD. It was deleted from the Roman calendar of saints in 1969 by Pope Paul VI, but its religious observance is still permitted. The Valentines honored on February 14 are Valentine of Rome and Valentine of Terni.
No romantic elements are present in the original early medieval biographies of either of these martyrs. By the time a Saint Valentine became linked to romance in the 14th century, distinctions between Valentine of Rome and Valentine of Terni were utterly lost (…)The day first became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished.”
So, now that we went back in time, and discovered that these two Valentines were priests from Italy, we can be proud to have enriched our knowledge about our ancestor’s history. In conclusion, 14th of February is traditionally a day on which lovers express their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as “valentines”).
In modern days, Valentine’s Day symbols include the heart-shaped outline, doves, and the figure of the winged Cupid. We are all used to see all the shops “dressed” in red, heart shapes all over, from cookies to greeting cards and of course flower shops full of clients who would like to order special bouquets for their loved ones.
This is an article especially dedicated to our male clients…we, all women, know that sometimes or most of the times, our men forget to be romantic, and think that this day is just another day to spend money without purpose. Me, for example, I’m already used to see other friends enjoy this celebration, but not participating at it. Yes, I have a boyfriend, but, as the majority, he doesn’t agree to these “stupid” occasions, and therefore, I started to lose the habit of thinking of 14th of February as a special day.
Let me tell you gentlemen, that we love being spoiled and if you think this day is a kitch, don’t forget to take in consideration the way your girlfriend sees this day. Compromises, we do them every day, but when it comes to see you girl happy, I think it is worth it. Just think how easy it is to buy a rose, a flower, any flower (besides plastic ones :)) ), than to come home empty handed and pretend that she will understand it. If you are not a romantic person, or just not used to the idea of doing something just because everybody is doing it, think of this day as a day where you can enjoy the presence of your loved one, just between you too.
